Our office provides all of our prospective clients with a FREE consultation, in which an individual interested in filing for a bankruptcy can sit down with one of lawyers and we can determine what options they qualify for. After you sit down with one of our experienced Bankruptcy lawyers we will discuss with you the options you possess to get out of your financial situation. We will weigh the pros and cons of whether to file for a Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 Bankruptcy, we will discuss whether debt settlement is a more viable option for you to take in order to get out of your debt, and we will offer our legal advice regarding which route to take.

When you come into our office for a FREE consultation, we will run the “Means test” for you in order to see if you qualify for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy. The Means Test was a test which was implemented into law under the Bankruptcy Reform Act of 2005. This law basically states that if you make more than the Median Income for the State of California for a household of your size, and you have disposable monthly income leftover after deducting the IRS standard allotments for living expenses, then you do not qualify for a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy.
